Anyone using Ipe Clip EXTREME? Worth the upgrade?

I've been using standard Ipe Clips for a couple years now and they work fine. The new EXTREME version is about 30% more expensive. Has anyone tried them? Is the extra holding power noticeable, or is it marketing hype?
