Showcase: 350sqft Massaranduba deck with custom drink rail

Just wrapped up this Massaranduba build in the PNW. Used 5/4x6 radius-edge boards with E-Clip hidden fasteners to keep that clean, screw-free aesthetic. Massaranduba is always a bear to work with when it’s damp, but the density on this batch was incredible. We installed a custom 2x6 drink rail notched into the post sleeves, finished with a heavy coat of Penofin Marine oil to really make those deep reds pop against the gray skies. The biggest challenge was getting the hidden clips to seat right on the joists since the boards were cupping slightly from the humidity, so we ended up using a lot of bar clamps during the layout. It took two guys three days just for the deck surface. Anyone else finding that the new kiln-dried stock is showing up with more mill marks than last season? Thinking of switching suppliers before the next big job.
