What's your waste factor on diagonal layouts?

I usually figure 12% waste on standard straight-run Ipe decks. Got a project coming up where the client wants 45° diagonal layout with a picture frame border. I'm thinking 18-20% waste but that's a lot of expensive material. What waste factors are you guys running on diagonal hardwood layouts?
