Massaranduba — anyone have experience with this species?

My supplier is pushing Massaranduba (Brazilian Redwood) as an Ipe alternative at about 20% less cost. The spec sheet looks impressive — 3,190 Janka, Class A fire rating, similar density. But I've never worked with it and don't know anyone who has. Has anyone here installed Massaranduba? How does it compare in the field to Ipe and Cumaru?
