FSC-certified Ipe — worth the premium?

I have a client who's very environmentally conscious and is insisting on FSC-certified Ipe. My supplier can get it but at a 15% premium, and the lead time is 6-8 weeks instead of the usual 2-3. Is FSC certification truly meaningful for tropical hardwoods, or is it more of a feel-good label? Genuinely asking — I want to give my client honest guidance.
